Have Enough Stress Factors,
Hearing
Loss Doesn’t Have To Be One Of Them!
Few people realize how damaging stress can be. If you or
someone you work with has a hearing loss, it may be a
bigger problem, and creating more problems, than you
know!
Read this, from an article that was published in the New
England Journal of Medicine:
“75% to 90% of all doctors visits are due to stress-related
ailments and stress-related disorders….
Stress can affect the onset of, or susceptibility to
disease. It can also affect the progression or course of
disease, even when there is another cause of the disease;
and stress can affect one’s recovery from disease.”*
If you, your spouse, or another you care about
has a hearing loss, it can contribute greatly to the stress
level.
Unfortunately, in this economy, not many can
just write out a check for $6000 or more for a set of high
quality hearing aids.
A unique program from
Hearing Haven LLC and New
Perceptions In Hearing is changing this and removing the
price barrier, by offering a hearing health plan designed
especially for Firefighters, Police Officers, Teachers, and
Government Workers .
The original “Hearing For Life” plan that is
available to the
general public, allows anyone to obtain hearing aids
with an activation fee ranging from $750 to $1250, for two
hearing aids. (Or, $375 to $625 for a single hearing aid.)
Members of a group
benefit plan receive reduced fees
and additional
benefits.
The monthly membership is either $77 or $97 per month for
both instruments, depending on the hearing aids selected.
Members get all the services, office calls, hearing aid
repairs, batteries, and service included in the plan.
One of the biggest benefits is
new hearing aids
every 48 months, when subscribers renew their
membership, with no new activation fee. Membership in the
Hearing for Life plan has your hearing aid needs covered for
life.
Our
Texas
Heroes Can Now Get Hearing Aids With A
Reduced Activation Fee!
A new plan for
Legislators, Educators, and Enforcers in both the Dallas and Houston
metro areas is now available. Under the group benefit plan,
any qualifying Texas worker whose employer offers the Hearing for Life
benefit, receives a $250 reduction in the activation fee,
plus other additional benefits. Any employer or group of
10 or more participants qualifies to participate in the
group benefit plan.
Ask your supervisor or HR department if they provide hearing
aid benefits through the Hearing for Life plan. Some, like
the City of Rockwall, even pay half of the initial
activation, and half of the monthly subscription.
If you or someone you know is considering hearing aids,
